1. How much do you pay for apartment rent in Mexico?
I own my apartment outright, but this apartment is in a good area, but surrounded by not such good areas, and would fetch around $7-8000 MXN per month.
2. Do you think its overpriced?
No. It is difficult to find anything comparable in a better area.
3. Would you say your apartment is big or small?
Medium. 85m2
4. What state do you live in?
Distrito Federal
5. Do you live near a tourist area or near the water?
No, no.

Safe
7. What do you not like about your apartment?
Surrounded by inferior neighborhoods, so I have to travel to be able to walk. Not too central to important places. |

No, the mortgage consumes about what is typical of household income, percentage wise.

7. What do you not like about your apartment?
Neighbour loves reggaeton whereas I love everything but reggaeton. A balcony would be nice too. |

Nothing. It is very quiet and peaceful here.
Second set of answers for apartment that I own in DF
1. How much do you pay for apartment rent in Mexico?
It is paid for, but similar places in the same area rent for 3500 to 4000 pesos
2. Do you think its overpriced?
No
3. Would you say your apartment is big or small?
Small
4. What state do you live in?
DF
5. Do you live near a tourist area or near the water?
No
6. Would you say its safe or not safe by popular opinion in your area?
Safe enough, but close to not too great areas.
7. What do you not like about your apartment?
Nothing, haha, that is why I don't live there anymore. Weekends were hell with noisy parties pretty much every night. Close to a major highway so somewhat polluted. It is centrally located, on a Metrobus line, close to the Metro, etc. |

1. How much do you pay for apartment rent in Mexico?
I own my house outright, the mortgage was 3000 a month, but I paid it off more than a year ago! Most of my colleages pay from 1500 to 3000 pesos a month
2. Do you think its overpriced?
NA. In terms of my co-workers, there is a wide variety of niceness, size and convience in location in where they live, and I think they get what they pay for pretty much.
3. Would you say your apartment is big or small?
My house is tiny--it's a row house, it's an infonavit type development, it's less than 1000 square feet.
4. What state do you live in?
Oaxaca--not the capital.
5. Do you live near a tourist area or near the water?
No, and there's a nice little arroyo about 500 meters behind my house, the water is clean July-November and there is sand which we enjoy playing in.
6. Would you say its safe or not safe by popular opinion in your area?
very safe
7. What do you not like about your apartment?
It's far from the center of town, which is good and bad, the road is REALLY bad, that's probably the worst thing. I've been waiting 9 years for a landline, the neighbors let their kids run wild in the streets until 11pm, which makes it hard for my kids to get to sleep at a reasonable hour. |
