I'm interested in teaching English in Mexico, however I don't have a degree. I do have a TESOL qualification.
I'm not looking to make money, just enough to live on; rent, food, entertainment etc.
Is this realistic with only a TESOL qualification? What sort of salary would this level of qualification attract?
Thanks in advance. |

Teachers are able to balance their work commitments with their personal life. School hours are very family friendly, and many teachers choose to work in permanent part time, casual or temporary positions for increased flexibility. |

Do you have any classroom experience to back up the TESOL? That would help a lot.
You can expect to earn anywhere between 6000 and 15000 pesos per month, depending on where in the country with just a TESOL...bringing prior experience would be key to earning more.
Working in business EFL in certain cities (DF, Guadalajara, Monterrey) can see monthly wages of between 10,000-15,000 pesos.
Again, depending on where you are, you'll want to earn between 6000 and 10,000 pesos per month to cover your costs and begin to save/spend. |
