| We had a staff meeting last week in which a new teacher introduced himself and gave a potted version of his c.v. There were a few sharp intakes of breath when he announced that he's worked in Israel for two years! Lucky for him Omanis are cool about the subject, I advised him not to do the same if he found himself in certain other ME countries in the future.... |

All of our teachers are told not to talk about sex, drugs, alcohol, religion or politics in class! I did counsel him not to mention it again here to anybody, he looked confused. |
