This is how you maximize your profits if you are H.Z., subcontractor for RASCO Oil and Gas Processsing Company of Ras Lanuf, Libya:

2. Fall several months behind on paying teacher salaries, while making a variety of excuses. Claim that you have not been paid yourself by RASCO, that the teachers have given the wrong wire transfer info, the transfer agent in Dubai is incompetent or has stolen your money, etc. Never answer emails from teachers. You want no written evidence that you owe them money. In fact, don't even sign their "contracts" when they arrive.

Where the teachers can enjoy a jog on the beach out back if they don't mind running on a beach that looks like a landfill and has pipes dumping raw sewage into the sea every few hundred meters. A beach where they might just get shot. Good. A very good excuse for not paying them the three months back salary you owe them.

4. When teachers finally do get their passports for the break and threaten not to return unless they are given their back pay, fire them for annoying you and give them the bum's rush, paying them some part of what they are owed and telling them they should be happy to get even that. Hire a new sucker, and repeat the process.
