It's a 3 month long volunteer program where you basically travel around Austria and teach English in what sounds like a summer-camp type setting. Since it's volunteer work there is no pay, but they pay for your flight and other travel costs as well as provide room, board, food, etc. At the end of the three months you get a TEFL certificate which is a nice bonus I suppose. It seems like a relatively inexpensive (I'll only be paying for personal activities, i.e. weekend trips, going out at night, etc) way to see Austria which I've always wanted to visit.

I got offered a position and I was wondering if anyone had worked with them before? I found a couple reviews that all seemed positive but am hoping to hear more. I'm really just hoping to do this to fill the gap in between now and May when I will start working in Thailand.

Did you end up going through the program? I just applied for this winter and I'm really curious about people's personal experience with the program. Feel free to message me as well.

I have been working for a more established company in Austria for the past 4 years. Abci are copying what our company does......badly. And paying you 400euros less per week for it while charging the children 70euros a head.

Someone is making a nice load of money but the schools they took away are returning to us as you pay what you get for in the end.

If you are volunteering for this though, just remember you are taking jobs away from English teachers who need the money to pay rent\bills\food...you are also working incredibly cheap in an intense job of 6 hours teaching a day with 20 minutes break such is the Austrian school system. It is anything but a summer camp and the last school we revisited after they were less than happy with Abci said one of the teachers quit half way through on Monday.

Anyone who works for free for this company while they are raking in around 1000euros per class seriously needs to rethink how valuable their time actually is..as I said, someone is making some serious profit on your hard work
