I've seen some schools in Thailand state that they want teachers who are under 45 years of age or even, in a few cases, 40 years or under.
How common is age discrimination in Thailand? Do Thais not like looking at older faces in the opinion of Thailand long-timers? |

Hello there,
Age discrimination exists everywhere in the world. Actually I know of several farang western teachers here who are in their 70's and a few in their 80's teaching English. I believe that you can teach English no matter what age you are.....just as long as you are physically fit and healthy to do so. Good luck! |
