hi there,

got an interview at the Multinational School Riyadh and I'm wondering about typical deals there. I've heard that they offer good accommodation on a compound ( school ) , is this true?
Anyone worked there before or know about typical salaries offered, benefits etc.
Thanks in advance hopefully. Very Happy

The majority of posters on this forum teach adults, so you may not get an answer. You might post your questions on a couple of the more common expat sites; otherwise, you have an upcoming interview---an opportunity to pose your benefit questions. Obviously, if you receive a job offer, you'd know your specific salary.

bigdurian,

I know someone who's worked there for a few years.

Send me a PM if you have any questions.

This school is supposed to be non profit but it never misses an opportunity to get the teachers and general staff to bring in food on open days to sell for the profit of the school. The parents are told to bring food to open days and then charged a ticket for entry. Joke.

Today they have an open day and the teachers had to pay for t-shirts to promote the school and then wear them. What a joke!

If a teacher is absent on a Thursday or Sunday, they are deducted up to 3 days pay.

The owners are Kiwis and mercenary in the extreme with holiday pay often not paid till the end of summer.

They play games with certification courses and pretend to subsidies them but the staff know it's all a joke.

Avoid this school like the plague!

What are the names of those more common expat sites for other SA teachers?

You misread my post; I was referring to general sites that target a broader base of expats from various backgrounds and nationalities. Do an Internet search on expat saudi forum.
