Hello,
I've recently been offered a job in HK (yay!) and I'm looking through all the various requests for documentation from the HK Immigration Dept and wondered if anyone can clarify a few things?
I need to apply under the General Employment Policy (GEP) scheme. I did a search on this site but couldn't find much about that scheme.
It says on the checklist to provide "Photocopy of proof of academic qualifications and relevant working experience" - is this degree certificates / degree certs with transcripts / secondary school & 6th form (I'm British) certs? How far back do I need to go with this?
I assume the relevant working experience is a letter from my current employer stating that I'm working as a teacher now and how long I've been there. Is that all that's needed?
http://www.immd.gov.hk/en/services/hk-visas/professional-employment/guidebook.html#checklist
I'm hoping this is a lot simpler than it looks. I always like to be over-cautious about these things as I know how tough immigration can be sometimes.
Thanks |

Any document that you have that pertains to anything you have ever done academically or experience wise, then get it copied and notarised. the more years experience you have and can prove the higher up the EdB pay scale you will go which is of course good.
Anything. Really. All of it.
The one document you don't do? That'll be the one they want....guaranteed. |
