Hello All,
I am looking for a summer teaching job this summer. I have a Bachelor's (Education) and Master's degree (TESOL). I would like to make some money to pay off school loans. (@3,000) Any suggestions???

Spain isn't likely to happen unless you have dual citizenship (US + EU). The other issue is that short-term (summer) work is very hard to find in those countries you can legally work in. Moreover, keep in mind that out-of-pocket expenses for roundtrip airfare, visa/work permit, medical exams, housing, etc., may not make working abroad short term worth it if you expect to earn money to pay off debts. Best to stay put and look for extra work in your current location.

Ditto what nomad said. You could work illegally for 90 days on a tourist visa (google Schengen zone for US citizens if you are not up on this), but no school is going to pay your airfare, etc. (there are simply too many teachers around in-country already wanting the work for this) and pay in general won't be likely to even allow you to break even on a short term stint.

And nomad is further correct that US citizens can't work legally in Spain (or Italy, France, Greece, Portugal, Netherlands, etc.). You are limited to Central/Eastern Europe, basically, and there is little summer work there, and it's not well paid, again because it goes first to teachers who are already here.

Would love for the description of the message board to include "Non-EU citizens cannot legally teach in the EU!" in large, bold letters. It'd cut off these "I'm an American and I want to teach in [insert EU country]" questions.
