Hi,
Does working at an institute in Bogota almost always involve working as late as 9PM? Is working until dark like this dangerous? |

No, most of the institutes actually will have you working early in the morning. I work 6am-3 weekdays. Walking around alone at night can be dangerous, especially in certain parts of the city. You need to take the same kind of precautions you would in any big city and be aware that people do get robbed here, but Bogota is hardly the most dangerous place you could live in either. |

Could Bogota really be worse that Oakland, California, or San Francisco's Tenderloin? |
