I would also like to add that this happened in Lviv, which is why it was even more surprising for me. I visited Kiev twice with no problems. Luckily it was my American card and I'm 100% covered for fraud. Thank god. |

Ha ha! Dunno why it being a different city would make anyone feel better. Fraud is a pain, where ever it occurs. And it is more likely to happen in the Ukraine than anywhere else in Europe. Whether Kiev or Lvov, makes no odds. |

Passing through Kiev for the long weekend.
Two questions:
(i) Is there much to do in Kiev in terms of nightclubs and bars in light of the recent protests?
(ii) Looking at making a day trip to Zhitomir. I'm aware that you can get busses at the local station. However, I notice if I'm lucky I'll have to get a bus that takes about 1 hr and 40 mnts.
Is there the option of mini busses?
