I never got my assistants anything. They never got me anything. In fact I never get anything working at university. The damn day is at the start of the semester so new students (which I almost always get) don't know me and don't give me anything. Only thing I got once was a card from half a class who I had the previous year. Bunch of bums.

Bunch of bums.

LOL! Keep the cards and compare the signatures against your roll the next semester.

Sour grapes much? So people who don't know you don't buy you gifts, and the people who do know you actually did get you a card one year? COUNT YER BLESSINS

I want fancy gifts like the professors and people in power get. I want a piece of the corruption pie. I don't ask for much.

I'd rather count 100RMB notes…several at a time.

Me too. I prefer brown envelopes stuffed full of the redbacks.

yo brochoudoufu,

Oh! If I were an Aussie, that would be the kind of "redback" that I meant.

But Immanna 'mericun goshdarnit! I only care about greenbacks but since I am in the Land of Mao, I only care about the redbacks.

These redbacks, baby. It's all about the Maozemins.
