Looking for a GOOD job in Oman working at a college or a university. What's out there, guys? Looking for an employer that has low turnover. Do I want too much?

Thanks.

That likely depends on your qualifications. Have you looked at Sultan Qaboos Uni? They may still be recruiting.

Someplace where the students actually care, will do the work, and all live happily ever after. Or at least until the contract ends. If that describes SQU, I'm interested.

Do you have the qualifications? Middle East experience? MA? (preferred) Visit their website and see if you meet their requirements and if you do apply, be warned that it is competitive since it is the best job in Oman.

Thanks, all. I'm not in a rush, so I'll apply at SQU and the MoM college in Salalah for the fall semester. SQU for plan A. Salalah for plan B. Should be able to get something off the ground there.

It's probably a bit late in the game for SQU. They do nearly all of their hiring at TESOL Arabia and TESOL in the US. So, I expect that they have already started with hiring those who passed the interview last month. But worth trying if their website is still accepting applications.

...and as far as applying at the MoM college in Salalah goes, I'll do that in a couple of weeks as well through TATI or CECN.

since you're applying to SQU, might as well try DU in salalah in addition to the college there since they are usually 'depleted' in their Foundation program, check their website as they usually do not advertise, pay and bennies usually slightly higher than the others in the city...
