Cool

Oh! I came across that in Chapter 3 of my Lonely Planet "SCOUSE" language guide.

Warm regards,

Which is why I put Harry Enfield in the subject. Not to be taken seriously.

And there was me thinking you were seriously debating dialectical differences. Rolling Eyes

I filled out their info form and they called me hours later. They called again yesterday. Honestly, as much as I'd like to say that they're super organised, it comes across as pushy and desperate for people to sign up.

Of course they want people to sign up: it's all about money. I'm guessing that fees for foreign students will be higher.

Yeah, but they come across as desperate. Not something I"m looking for when it comes to a school.

The U. of Pool should hire Luis Suárez to do some slick advertising campaigns for them. That may convince more people to sign up.

NG, if you're so concerned, why not check the university's international ranking for education degrees? There are several comparison websites, for example: http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/world-university-rankings/

Thanks. I know Liverpool is ranked well. But I just find it a bit odd. Maybe it's because it's such a new program.

I think you are reading too much into it. Perhaps it's just a cultural difference but if I fill in a contact form I expect to be contacted within 24 hours max, or the next business day if it was a weekend or something. If I missed the call I'd expect them to try again within 48 hours.

They were also our standard target times when I worked in education in the UK. Anything less would be seen as disorganised and/or disinterested.

It's taken me a lot of getting used to in LatAm where I can send an email and have to wait a week for a reply. I try to plan accordingly but it still winds me up sometimes.

Yep. You're probably right. I've gotten used to waiting forever.
