Dear fellow teachers of our beautiful, insanely complicated language.
I am a qualified primary teacher (CELTA course pending - booked for this August) heading to St. Petersburg this winter to be with my long term girlfriend and gain some experience teaching English with the use of my much coveted native tongue
I have obviously done my research and am aware there are different roads to go down in terms of the type of establishment you work for, however.......
...if I may draw upon anybody's worldly wisdom and first hand St. Petersburg teaching experience in terms of who to avoid, important things to make sure of, or anything really, that would be utterly fabulous!
Also just genuinely interested to hear of anybody's experiences out there!
Thanks in advance,
Stay safe.

I'm not living in St. Petersburg right now, but when I finished my CELTA, I got a job offer from a school in St. Petersburg called New Planet. They seemed nice, were ran by a British guy, offered visa, help with accommodation, etc. Since I never worked with them, I can't be too specific, but I think they might be worth contacting. |
