I've been offered a salary of 11,00 plus single accommodation. It seems very low. Is it enough to live on comfortably in Kiev? |

Do you mean 11,000 grivner? This plus an apartment?
This equates to less than $1000 US per month. It's not great.

I've seen the job post he is probably referring to and it includes a bit more than 11,000-ish and an apartment. The package included good development opportunities, medical coverage, paid flights, and a decent amount of paid holidays. |

Well, OK...but if you're from the UK, then 11,000 grivs equals around 550 British pounds per month. When it comes to holiday time, and trips home for Christmas etc, you will really feel it.
Teachers' salaries have yet to catch up with the disasterous fall of the Grivna. |

Seems true. I looked around and BC was offering the same salary that OP mentioned here in August 2012. I guess the pay would be OK if the Grivna recovers to its pre-crisis exchange rates. |
