Hello

I'm an american working in KSA, I got an offer in Kuwait.

Has anyone lived in both countries. Do you think life is similar or different?

Which one do you think is better?

actually i got a job at a billingual school.

i'm currently working at a vocational school in ksa.

To be honest life is OK and DECENT in ksa, its just that i am always so bored. I thought kuwait might be a nice change of scenery.

however i dont want to leave ksa and get banned for a few years.( as i am currently under a 2year contract, and if you dont come back from exit -rentry you get banned for a few years)

so that why i am trying to decide if kuwait is really worth it.

It will come down to your priorities---your must-haves versus what's least important to you, and making your decision from there.

What a small-minded ignorant comment.

Dear middleastman,

Would you care to list all the (other) positives?

Regards,
John

If you are a woman, Kuwait is much more liveable. You can easily live in your own apartment, drive a car, ride a bike, get a gym membership and walk around. The home brew scene is much more vibrant in Kuwait, if that is important to you.

No, John unfortunately I don't really feel the need to elaborate just yet. Surely someone with the number of posts that you have made must have some valuable information to add to the discussion. You obviously enjoy posting on forums. The Internet doesn't count as a cultural experience. Wink

Dear middleastman.

Alas, I can add no other positives. But I felt sure, from the tone of your posting, that you were simply bursting at the seams with them.

It's unfortunate that you don't feel the need to elaborate. Very Happy

Regards,
John

Would that also mean no exit visas?

There wasn't 4 years ago when I was there. Anybody more up-to-date?
