I taught at Lines Languages a few years ago. It was very busy, but I cannot complain because I had good experiences there then.
But this year, I found that there were major issues with communication, workload, and stress, and meetings, meetings and more meetings, which interfered with lesson prep.
I was told-and I have it in writing-that I would be due 2 weeks' salary and a pay slip on Friday or Saturday. I received zilch. I called on Monday and the HR lady procrastinated and said the boss was at a meeting and she would call back. I called back and was told I hadn't been paid because I hadn't completed the tax form. She sent me the tax form and I completed it and sent it back to her yesterday. She promised me I'd be paid today. and I checked my bank account tonight and I still haven't been paid.
WHAT else can I do to make sure I get paid? I need to act fast-Lines will close at the end of next week.

Lines Languages are apparently accredited by both the British Council and English UK. You should report them to both institutions.

The fastest way to see results is to report a TAX FRAUD :

Write to Tax Department/Inland Revenue
Inspector of Taxes
HM Revenue and Customs
Southgate House
Stevenage
Herts
SG1 1HL

Any behaviour of this shameful (and illegal) sort needs to be given the maximum publicity. Otherwise more shyster schools will be using the same trick to rip off their teachers.

Please pm me the details, and I'll do my best to help sort it out. Alternatively, click on the www button below and let Tefl Tradesman know all about it.

Best of luck!
