I am 29 years old and from Australia with 2 years ESL teaching experience. I am looking at coming to Spain (leaning towards Barcelona) mid-next year. Is having an Irish passport enough to allow me to work legally in Spain? I have seen that you are required to be an EU national...is this the same as being a passport holder, or do I need to be an actual citizen of the country?
By the way, as a holder of CELTA but with no degree, what kind of work and pay could I reasonably expect to find? Weekends, evenings, etc are no problem for me. Thanks!

Hi Jedda,

I'm Australian with a British passport as well as my Oz one. If your Irish passport is the same as my British one, it will say your status (mine says "British citizen"). Are your parents Irish, or your grandparents? If it is your parents, you are probably a citizen.

How did you get a celta without a degree?

Lozwich.

A degree isn't a requirement for the CELTA. I didn't have a degree - and I know others that didn't have one either.
