Hi y'all!
This is my first time posting so bear with me Wink I am leaving in two weeks to participate in the EBC program in Madrid. I'm excited, but a little nervous too. One thing I have been wondering ever since I decided to do this program was the issue of American English vs. British English. Is this even an issue for teaching? It's not like the grammar is really any different between the two, but there are a lot of spelling differences so I was just wondering if we Americans were expected to do it that "other" way Wink Thanks!

Jenn

It's sensible to expose students to a variety of English, not just British and American.
If they're planning taking one of the Cambridge exams, then British English it must be. If they're taking the American equivalent then you should teach them American English.
