If I may, I am here to invite you all to read my thread
Country Warning: TUNISIA
http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=108381
The Middle East is not that far away, and Tunisia is often seen as part and parcel of The Middle East. If any of you who live and work in the other Middle Eastern and North African countries get a hankering to visit Tunisia, well, don't say you haven't been warned. Good day to you.

I've added my take on the situation. Much of North Africa is very much a work of progress these days with new governments making bizarre rules for which they don't really understand the effects.
This too shall pass... but for now, one might want to avoid working in Tunisia. When they realize that it will also hit tourism... making their currency problems even worse... they will start loosening the rules.
