|

Hey,
I'm wondering if Cambodia runs on a similar schedule to Thailand and if there is a mid-semester break in October? What are the hiring seasons like in Cambodia?
Also, what is the average pay for an English Teacher job? I've seen a wide variation on the international job board and haven't seen any listings in a while.
Thanks! |

Hirings usually have to be in-country, so you'll see adverts up in the paper and on websites of the schools. Best thing to do is e-mail or drop a CV in directly.
Lots work on four terms a year if they're language centres - so expect Jan - March, April - June etc with a break of a week or more in between terms. Christmas can be quite a long break.
Pay depends on qualifications for the most part, sometimes experience but not usually by much. Expect minimum $10, up to $20 (and additional pay depending on IELTS and other such levels). |
