Hi
I'm a very experienced EFL teacher/IELTS Examiner with a DELTA and because of my wife's job I'll soon be moving to Mexico City. Could anyone offer me any advice about how to go about finding a decent job?
Many thanks!

Show up, knock on doors, and circulate your resume. If you're experienced, you'll likely find something. Others on this forum will be able to give you specific suggestions regarding where to start. |

There are plenty of ESL jobs in Mexico City with varying pay, hours, benefits and commute times.
I certainly don't have your qualifications or experience but I did find that finding a good job was all about having good networking skills.
I suggest you start here:

Networking: Once you’re in Mexico, spread the word among anyone you meet socially and/or through your wife’s work. It will come up organically when they ask you what you’re doing in Mexico – “Hoping to teach English.”
Also seconding Jultime’s suggestion of Teachers Latin America. |

Another suggestion is to advertise your services and all of your great qualifications with free ads on the internet at such sites as segundamano, vivastreet and adoos. |

or let the wife work and put the feet up!
if you have good experience and Spanish you´ll be allright like...depends where the trouble n strife is living too. But get out and about and put your C.V. about...don´t price yourself out of the market mind... |

With that DELTA, I'd check with the British Council...as well as the Anglo who have a few full time positions posted on the Teachers Latin America page. |
