Is anyone familiar with this? And any particular universities/colleges which might have a larger staff, (i.e. more hiring possibilities) for these jobs? |

I have worked with German partner universities for over a decade. The job openings are pretty rare, and extremely competitive. You need a relevant MA at least, and in most cases reasonable German language skills, and in many cases local contacts, to get one.
So it's possible, but not easy.
This job market isn't like Asia. |

Melta.de sometimes has job postings plus links to other English orgs in Germany. University of Augsburg will hire native speakers. An American colleague of mine worked there a couple years ago. |

It's hard to say wether the methodics of teaching better here. Practice of teaching during the studying or after graduating just in the process of working? |

A2/B1-level German will go a long way to helping you land something. Same in Austria. |

No.
But if you're looking for something 'high-paying' as you note on the Saudi forum, please note that the university job market in Germany is extremely tight and difficult to get into (there is serious competition for most openings). You are unlikely to find anything that fits the term 'high-paying' unless you have the time and energy to pay some local dues to work your way into something.
It's easier to get private language school gigs, but they aren't usually described as 'high paying.' |

Dear spiral. I was just informed by the director of a university Eng dept that the mand ret age for pub-service is 65. Wikipedia has it as 65 and 3 months. How do you figure no limit? I did not come to the germ forum to ask about salary. |

Interesting as I have colleagues in public universities in Germany who plan to retire at 72. Maybe the laws have changed in recent years, and my colleagues have been grandfathered in (not making a dig here).
Terribly sorry to have "overstepped" on the salary question. It's traditionally been difficult to demand that posters limit their comments to fit one's strict personal preferences. |

Maybe it depends on the university? I just got this from U. Mannheim:
Eine Altersgrenze gibt es nicht. |
