I see that one of the higher level administrators at Algonquin College has miraculously acquired a doctorate from the non-accredited and very suss University of Phoenix. Got it in record time too. Don't they check qualifications in Kuwait?

U of P is still accredited and has been for several decades:

Though, it's been under a fair deal of scrutiny in recent years, had numerous campus closures, and seen a huge drop in enrollment. Accreditation not withstanding, it just doesn't have a lot of credibility right now. (And, for some of us, never really has.)

Someone told me (I've not been able to find official stats on this) a while back that Kuwait had the highest per capita rate of Ph.D. holders. Anyone who is remotely familiar with the academic skills and aptitudes of the average Kuwaiti can immediately figure out the most plausible explanation for that.

In other words, the administrators will fit right in!
