Just another language center. One of many and new to the area.
As with any language center and agency "Ya pays yer money and takes yer chances."

Hi Bigriver
I decided not to go for it. I found the recruiter in Oman and the school in Bangkok just too diverse to trust the offer.
If this is not the case in your experience and your gut tells you there are no red flags, then I always say, go for it.
Nothing is final until you sign the contract, anyway...
Good luck and keep me in the loop, please. |

Hi Heks,
thanks for getting back to me - I began to wonder when the email i sent was sent back saying the email didn't exist, so I went round there yesterday, and the physical location does exist. I spoke briefly with the director and handed in my CV in person. they're not hiring at the moment, but should that change and they are interested in me i'll go from there and keep you posted.
cheers! |

I heard one must have a London accent to teach at this school...or pretend to have one as an EFL Edutainer! |

This would be a sure-sign to not only avoid giving any more info, but also to contact the school itself (if it exists) and let them know what's going on. Either they have an authorized recruiter or they don't.
Sounds like a take on the old Nigerian "419" money scam which is still around and has suckered in a number of "English teachers" who were desperate for easy money from a job that sounds too good to be true. |
