Hi folks,
Well after spending a few years in Colombia, I am ready to move on to a new country. I have thought about Mexico for awhile and was wondering if any of you have obtained a work visa working part-time or online. I earn most of my income working online, so I'm not looking for a full-time job at the moment.
Also, I was wondering if you could recommend a good city for me. I am looking for a smaller, less touristy city with good internet connection and job opportunities. I've seen that Queretaro is a good option... also I'm a 25 year old single male so I'm looking towards a city that has decent night life.
Thanks in advance!! |

I haven't kept up on visa regulations so much recently. But Queretaro is a good choice for cities. There are a couple of posters who live there and if I've understood their stories correctly they had a hard time finding a school that would give them a "full-time" schedule so part time would should be available. There are a lot of multinationals headquartered around Queretaro so a market for business English. |

You wouldn't need a work visa to work online since you are not technically working in Mexico. I have been working online for years now and they are not the least bit interested in that job. I also know a few people who have lived in Mexico for 10+ years just coming and going on a tourist visa, which is usually good for 180 days each time. |
