It probably will, but not likely to help a non-native speaker of English get a TESL job in Canada - there are simply too many qualified native Canadian speakers of the language competing for the (relatively fewer) jobs.

Hopefully, but we need foreign workers in Canada for high turnover positions- nannies, fast food, retail.

I'm not sure if you are familiar yet with the Canadian Language Benchmarks (our "bible" of English teaching assessment/outcome), but an ESL teacher here should be at a level 11 or 12. In other words, completely fluent at a level acceptable to teach in an English academic environment. Are you that proficient? A BEd/adult ed with ESL qualifications is a bare minimum, and you'll be competing with MA TESOLs.
