Below is the latest medal tally in the 2016 Summer Olympics. With the Closing Ceremony fast approaching on 21 August, any ideas regarding which country(s) eventually ends up with the most Gold medals, most medals, etc.?

Not sure...perhaps the USA (maybe China?)

I think some countries only care about how many Gold medals are won and not the total number of medals won. Others may feels just the opposite while others may simply not even care.

Even at the Olympics there can be more important things in life than medals:

The 2016 Summer Olympics will be history in a few more days.

The U.S. seems destined to walk away with the most Gold medals and the most medals, overall.

That should put an immediate end to any discussion as to which team came in first place, i.e., the most Gold medals or total medals.Wink

Except that among the frontrunners, Great Britain (of course!) has many more medals per capita than the USA. Wink

Looking at the big picture, Great Britain (of course!) has fewer medals per capita than Grenada, New Zealand, Jamaica and fifteen other countries. Wink
