Hi, I don't see cfbt advertising for teachers anymore? What's happened to them? There's an address in Muscat on their website, so I am assuming they are around. Looks like they've lost their contracts. Shame if so, they were a good outfit once. |

Once, then came years of appalling mismanagement and indifference from the suits. |

If possible, where is the ad of Majali you are mentioning and the info is taken from?
Sb would like to try and renegotiate their current contract if the money you have quoted is true, but the official info is needed to serve as proof.
Plz, help.
ps. In favour of CAS, they may have very good students - GPAs right after SQU lot- and civilised professional ambiance, as compared to what is private in Kahleeje, and what shouldn't be touched with a barge pole, nay, with anything truly.
The recruiters are a different story, obviously, and shame that they exist. |

CfBT was at its height when recruiting Britsih teachers to go to Northrhine-Westphalia. The smooth Antony Abrahams (now deceased) with his "cosmopolitan" connections pulled off a smart one there. they later expanded to Malaysia, but their ventures into the Middle East were ill-fated.

Thank u Eijse74 for the link to the Majali's ad;
Now imagine private tertiary establishments in Oman, where the cut off point starts more or less at the rang, where the C level Foundation at CoAS and Cullija Takanija accomplished their honey collection.
What remains?
But not only this. Once the private unis' Foundations start their hunt, there you have again levels A, B and .... C.
And in A's in private Foundations are those who couldn' make it to the meadow of governmental Cs.
Just imagine what goes on there, on the meadow of private Cs. A truly Dionysian experience for both parties involved.
Sorry it is off the CfBT topic.
And I did have good and bright students in khaleeje private unis, but they always have been a silent trampled upon minority, who never had a chance to study confronted with the heady and giddy laws of the Dionysian meadow that rules in the private.

AA set himself up a lucrative income in CfBT and his reputation was that he 'didn't suffer fools'. Essay question 'Justify the suits in Reading with reference to the founders viewpoint' They cared nothing about the staff in the Middle East.

2016 May
They seem to be recruiting again....under Omani management.
Rumour mill says College of Applied Sciences tender is up for grabs...source not 100% certain.
Hedge your bets and go for CfBT and Hawthorn. |

Sorry,
Just saw your request. The original link was on www.tefl.com.
However, it was confirmed on July 11 that CfBT have not got the Omani CAS contract - it's been awarded to Al Nawa. |

Do they have anything else going?
I see (from their site) that they are in an office between Al Bajha and the Wave. It is next to Subway. |
