I'm taking a break from China for a while and intend to spend about three to six months in Sihanoukville.
I've been there three times as a tourist, but this time I will be buying into a restaurant/bar.
I'd like to do a bit a teaching/tutoring, to keep myself on the ball (have 13 years experience, but one can get stale if not in the classroom for extended periods of time). Will probably be back in China mid/late year to continue with another project.
I don't expect to make too much cash.
Any idea of schools that are hiring? I'd google, but google doesn't exist in the Muddled Kingdom (and I'm not shelling out for a VPN as I'm leaving next week).

If you haven't already looked then I suggest the khmer440.com site or once you get there ask any of those guys who already have restaurants and hotels along that strip from the traffic circle and further south.

I asked a few questions on that website when I was considering Siem Reap. My quite innocent questions were met with moronic reponses by the miserable sods who frequent that site; bored and belligerent fat Aussies.
I hope you have better responses. |

Yes, this forum is well-known for its rather aggressive belligerence and insular off-topic discussions among the "old hands'.
This forum was started last year as an alternative:

There's no section for teaching, so maybe try this one:

You might also have a look at this:

Thanks Sigmoid!
You'd be surprised how many of these sites won't open in China (Fujian province) without a VPN.
No worries, I'll be in Cambo next week, where the internet is unrestricted, and I'll check out all those sites. |

If you have the money, take your time and get to know the place. |

Indeed I did - and came to the conclusion I'd rather work in a country that pays better.
Also, I'd like to see SNV develop a bit more (hopefully for the better) and will visit again in a year or two. |
