Can anyone give me the names of some recruiters that recruit for schools in Vietnam. I am interested in teaching there but am having a problem finding recruiters for Vietnam.
Any assistance from any of you folks woud be greatly appriciated. |

Hi Keith,
I'm probablly not the best person to be answering your question because I'm not actually in Vietnam yet. But I know how it is to post a question and get no replies, so I'll tell you what I do know (based on my research, and info from two friends who are teaching in HCMC now).
The vast majority of esl teachers in VN get their jobs by showing up and walking into all the English Academy's with resume and degree in hand. It is extremely rare to get hired over the internet because your potential employer will want to meet you before hiring you. For this same reason, recruiters in VN are rare as well. I think the reason you've not found any is because very very few of them actually exist. And those that do exist are best found once you are actually in VN and can meet them in person.
I hope this helps. And hopefully anyone with more info will add to this post. |

Viva is right. I'm teaching in Vietnam now and there are plenty of teachers around (and plenty of jobs) so even the schools that do have the resources to recruit abroad don't bother. ILA is probably your best bet but really you should just come here and interview at a few schools so that you can choose (hopefully) the right one for you |

Agreed to what the above people said. Internet and even phone calls don't seem to get you far here. You just need to get the addresses of schools and show up with copies of everything preferably, including all certificates and passport page and visa. It's good to have your own phone too. |
