|
|
I just checked my visa. It was from March 2016 to June 2016. I received a new residence card when I re-entered Japan in March. (I had a residence card from a short-contract job last summer).
Why did my new company issue me a 3 month instructor visa? Does my residence card serve the same function as my visa?
Thanks for any info. |

I think you'd be better off asking people who actually know things but what I will say is that even if your residence card is valid IT DOES NOT SUPERCEDE THE VISA. |

The visa status should be on the card.
It isn't a stamp in passports anymore. |

Was the March to June period the window for entering Japan on the flashy passport sticker with your photo? If so, that whole thing became invalid after you entered Japan, unless, perhaps, it had multiple entry on it. It would likely have had a longer period of validity if it were a multiple entry one, though. |
