Hi, I'm planning my winter break, going to Manila for the first week bt want to visit another place for the following three weeks. Anybody got any thoughts about Mactan/Cebu? |

Yeh there's no buses or trains there so you have to take a taxi everywhere. I wss there at New Year. It costs about 100 pesos per ride (£1.75) Don't know how they can even make a profit myself. It's the same in Korea. How do taxi drivers make a profit here? You can go like 3Km for $5 or something like that. In England, 3km will cost you £8 at least or about $10. Maybe even $15 for the greedy Asian taxi drivers with black cabs. I took a taxi from my house down to the train station in Coventry last year at 5 am in the morning and no joke but it cost me £16 to travel about 6 miles. No wonder so many people wanna be taxi drivers in the UK |
