Hello all;

A colleague and I are doing a research project on the topic of family bilingualism in Japan. We both are married to Japanese spouses and have children here, and want to find out what approaches to bilingualism other families take, how successful they feel they are, and so on. We have written an online survey (at Survey Monkey) to gather data. Our goal is to present our findings in Japan and hopefully abroad sometime this year.

The survey is short, all multiple choice questions, and should take less than 5 minutes to complete. All data collected will be held in confidence, and you won't be contacted afterwards. If you could take a few minutes to participate, we would greatly appreciate it. The link is below:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RPVNXRC

I will also post a brief synopsis of the results here at Dave's if anyone is interested, once we collect enough data. Also, if you have any ideas where to contact others who may want to participate, please PM me, or leave the details in this thread- I'd welcome any help I can get! Also, feel free to send the survey link to your friends/colleagues who may be interested.

Thanks very much, and I hope you will take part!

I have just completed the survey.

For those that are unsure whether or not to take part; at no time will you be asked to fill in any of your personal contact details eg. name, e-mail etc.

It is completely anonymous.
