Hi All,

This is my first post and I hereby send regards to all the mates here.
I want to know if there are mates belonging to any of the Asian countries that are considering online teaching to supplement their income or are already doing this. Of course anybody and everybody can comment if they can shed some light on the subject matter of this post.

I had applied to many ESL companies that support online teaching but all had rejected my application saying that they accept only native-English speakers.
I am now left with an opinion that only native English speakers stand a chance to opt for this online teaching thing, and I would be much happier if someone would change my opinion otherwise.

You might take a look at How many teach online, have, or plan to (even partly).

I am already skimming through that post, but could not find much relevant to natives of non-English countries.
I was hoping someone from India or nearby country could help me in gauging this field.

Thanks anyways

I provided the link so that you could ask on that thread; the general forum gets more traffic than this one.
