A few weeks ago, I applied to the Language Company in Santiago. I saw their ad on Linkedin. After a Skype interview they offered me position starting this fall. Is the company reputable? Has anybody dealt with this school before? Im interested to know about the wages, average workload and corporate culture. Thanks and I look forward to your replies.

my post was focusing on if the school is reliable. Most Chile schools don't hire people unless you are already there. You either have to be very qualified or you must be there sitting in front of them so they know you are ready to go. They want to know your settled in housing, etc. A great deal of Chile schools want demo classes done on site to prove yourself. 2 school directors over there I'm still friends with that I met while interviewing where very open about their own school and other schools as far as wages, housing, what schools to avoid, etc. It takes time but you will slowly but surely get the info you seek.

I worked at TLC and it was awesome. One of the best jobs I have ever had. Very, very friendly administrators and my coworkers became great friends. I was there for a year. They are certainly reputable. Paid on time. Good training and resources available.

Hi Glacerdaz,

I was wondering if you took the job with The Language Co? and if so how you're finding it?

I've met two people who worked with the Language Company, one in Puerto Montt and the other in Concepcion. They seemed to like it or, at the very least, had no complaints.

Can anyone tell me where TLC has their locations? I can't seem to find it on their website.

Anyone have more recent experience? Curious if it's still a good place to work.
