Considering they pay like crap, it equates to almost 3rd world labor. They will pass you off as a native teacher but you will get much less than a regular teacher. I would say pass on this.

LL is known to treat teachers with disdain.

Don't they all 'pay like crap'?? I thought LL were better than EF for example.
And if you want to also study Russian.. how many schools offer that?

yeah all the major schools like EF, LL, BKC have low wages. If you want to study Russian I would do it properly and go to an accredited school. Who knows what kind of instructors LL is providing. Don't mix work with study.

Such programmes are a waste and a way to try and lure people to the country.

This just looks bad. You spend 50% of your time learning Russian but you have to pay for it and then you get paid for teaching the rest of your time. So in other words it seems they just use you to make money and what exactly do you get from it? Is it an actual qualification?

maw, the Russian forum is quite dead, no regular posters. The threads you are replying to are years old..you may get better answers elsewhere!

Thanks Spasibo.. hahaha...im certainly not getting many replies. I had a great interview with LL and she was all positive and now I haven't heard anything back and it has been nearly two weeks so doesnt give me much trust. Anyway a little highlight, a place from Finland emailed me a couple of days ago re teaching small children. Unfortunately that's not where my teaching exp has been but will see what happens with that trail. I've quickly gone to some kindergartens here to sign up for work experience!!!
