First I've heard about it. Too bad could have combined it with a visit to the parental unit, but with a built in excuse to be out of the house most of the day - the recipe for a perfect visit, haha. |

This year being in Mexico, I thought there might be some folks from the forum coming. This is one of the top PD events in Latin America for international schools.
Had a blast in Bogotá last year when it was there and met a couple of forum folk... |

Hello,
I am new to ESL and recently finished a 120 Hour TEFL program at the University of Arizona. I am seeking a teaching position in Mexico or another Latin American country. Is the Conference a good venue to meet potential employers?
Thanks |

Hi SeanESL, are you looking to teach adults or children? I believe that the conference they are referring to is for international schools, which means private children's schools.
I'm sure Guy will be able to assist you if you're looking to teach children.
There are lots of ESL jobs in Mexico, both teaching children and adults. |

That conference was last year in Guadalajara and yes, for international schools. The next one is in October in San Jose, Costa Rica. I'll be there if anyone else is planning on going... |

Is the conference a good place to job hunt for teaching positions in Latin America? I'm looking for fall 2018 start so it seems a little early to go over there for a visit... what do you think? |

Most definitely a great place to job hunt as you have dozens of school directors, principals, and department heads, as well as hundreds of teachers to network with, not to mention very good PD workshops. |
