Universities also hire passport holders with masters degrees in any discipline |
Another generalization. Besides, biz/work visit visas tend to be utilized by for-profit companies and not by direct-hire universities. |
Only FYI,
universities outsource the hiring process
1. due to influx of unqualified so called native English speakers and passport holders, and there are not so many qualified EFL teachers in the world or they do not go overseas to get a one year stint to pay off student loans or child support or alimony
2. Saudi universities do not help out with accommodation & daily transport ( except offering some amount as allowance) nor offer med services at Saudi government hospitals. So, the private agents/companies come in to do everything including secure housing, transport/commute, med insurance, etc for single-status job applicants.
Saudi Universities need middle guys as agents/companies, not agents/companies are pushing the Universities to let them do the agency work for profit. |

More misinformation. Not all Saudi universities outsource their HR and staffing needs; some recruit and hire teachers directly as well as administer the benefits. |

There is no uniformity. The best universities still do direct hire. AND provide accommodation AND ensure treatment at government hospitals. |

And they don't entail biz/work visit visas. |
