Well I've been researching this pretty carefully.

I started in Korea and just finished up in China. I've spent the last year researching cost of living, lifestyle, environment and salaries, and Vietnam looks like the current winner.

Any predictions for where this industry goes next? I think China will always be the cash cow, but lifestyle, cost of living and environment are such negatives there.

Will inflation and pollution in Vietnam outpace salaries 5 and 10 years down the road? I think that's the real question...

In HCMC at least pollution already has. We lived in Go Vap, one of the outer ring of districts on the 13th floor. As we didn't need A/C we left our windows open. The downside was that our curtains had to be washed at least monthly. Imagine how much worse it is at street level. In hindsight, even though we were not hot, we should have used the A/C.
