If so, how long has it approximately taken and how was your experience? Also, have you had any problems with Immigration while you were swapping over? I'm not clear what your status would be in the meanwhile.

I haven't even been working for a month, but it has been enough to realise that I'm being screwed up by my company and I'm not willing to take it. I don't want to leave HK just because I'm having a bad experience so I'm looking at getting a new job, but I'm a bit worried about the process of changing sponsorship for my working Visa.

Would appreciate if someone who has been in the same situation could tell me a bit about their experience. Any advice welcome!

Thanks! Smile

People change jobs in Hong Kong all the time. Normally there are no issues. The only thing which they might question would be the length of your first employment here. I would say if your new job fulfils the normal working visa requirements then you will be alright.

Yes, it's pretty straight forward and they will transfer your visa to the new employer.

Remember to get a 'release letter' from your current employer. Immigration will need this.

Is it obligatory for your former sponsor to issue you with a release letter? What if they don't want to? That means you cannot get a new employment visa, right?
