When I was an ESL teacher in HCMC in 2008 and 2009, a very popular hangout for western ESL teachers was a smallish restaurant/bar called "Bread and Butter." It was directly across from Chi's Cafe as I recall, another place popular with teacher expats and from where many rented motorbikes. I hear that Bread and Butter is no more, it is, ahem, toast!

Can any of you old hands please list two or three popular hangouts in Pham Ngu Lao and District 7 for ESL teachers these days? Much obliged.
