I tried searching for these programs on the internet, but didn't come across any. It's a little hard to believe that there wouldn't be a program of this sort in all of Germany. If not in Germany, are there some in Austria or Switzerland, perhaps? Thanks in advance.

TESL/TEFL MA degrees from non-Anglophone countries tend to be discounted by top-end employers, so it's not all that likely that such programs abound. I've lived and worked in the region since 1998 (in academia since 2002) and I don't know anyone with a such a degree except some locals.

Just not super-marketable in a broader context.

Groningen University in the Netherlands offers an MA in Applied Linguistics. Might be an option.

In Germany people taking this career route would do a degree in English Philology or Anglistik and Amerikanistik.
