I've been teaching in Poland for six years, American, uni grad, CELTA, and now I'm thinking about another country.

Does anyone have any experience with schools in Iasi, salary, etc?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure whether you can get a work permit in Romania.
State schools pay about 1500 lei/$350 per month.

British Council was recently hiring, they were looking for Cambridge examiners (CPE, CAE etc). As far as I know, they have the same pay no matter the country. You can check their website for details, but I know they pay very well.

You can get a job in a private school which may pay about double than a state one.

Don't know exactly what details to offer.

Salaries are on a par with Bulgaria - no more than 300 Euros a month. A foreigner cannot survive on that income. Locals have to juggle 2 or 3 jobs and income from other sources.
