|
|
Hi,
I'm looking to teach in Saudi Arabia but I'm a little picky and only willing to teach in either Dammam or Jeddah (because they have have beaches). What are the better paying international schools within these cities? What is the starting pay range for a teacher with 3+ years experience and a masters degree in English.
Please let me know. |

For good beaches in Jeddah you have to drive a long way out of the city. In Dammam they are also a long way out - and they certainly are not Bondi.
maybe the OP should appraise why he wants to travel to KSA ?
Most people go for the money. Some go for Mecca and Medina. |

Yes, I have a teaching certificate in the state of New York. I was looking at the British International School and also ISG Dhahran.
I do prefer coast cities but would it be worth going to Riyadh? There are not any other places I'd want to live in KSA.
In addition, to answer another question you posted about why I want to move to KSA, primarily to save money since there is less to do and cost of living is lower in KSA in comparison to other gulf countries. |

SAES requires a minimum 6 years of experience. |

Most reputable international schools are looking for 5+ years experience teaching the subject that you are qualified in. There are exceptions - and they are mainly in rather questionable institutions. They often have names that indicate that not all is in order. For example "The Excellence School For Really Smart Kids". I made that one up but you will see the pattern if you do a google search for schools in the Kingdom. |
