If a company officially employs you, then you can get the visa needed for working here.
Up until the latter part of last year, it was possible to come and go from Ukraine, paying fines for overstaying, and then just coming back into the country a few days later. This has all changed. Completely.
Now you can stay for 90 days in every 180 day period, without obtaining a visa and temp residence permit. There is zero flexibility in this now, and anyone who's overstayed the 90 days, will not be allowed back in to Ukraine for 3 months. Try enough times and they'll ban you for 3 years.
Gone are the days of easy border controls. Also, all border crossings are connected by computer network and all can access the info they have about any individual. No longer do they need to count the days you've stayed, using the date on of entry stamp in your passport. Now they just scan your passport and have all the info they need. |
