Anyone know why the salary with RAFO is less than MTC. I understand MTC pay 1900 OMR and RAFO starting salary at grade 5 is 1200OMR.

I do know the RAFO package is better in terms of annual leave and bonus. But the salary difference is rather huge.

Also, the housing, if your business, will be unfirnished and with no AC, so your cost again, high cost indeed.
Short summer break compared to regular uni standards, and the number of hours a week high or very high - depending which rumour I heard is true - compared again to average tertiary standards.
All in all, you do not earn more kat exochen, but you work more therefore you earn more, and besides you live in an expensive city Muscat is.

MTC salaries have been reduced. I think RAFO provides more tickets per year which can be encashed as well as tiny flats on the base.

Salaries levels depend on the military rank assigned to the teacher.
