Most of the online companies I'm coming across these days have a big focus on the youngest learners, but it's just not my forte. I don't mind, for example, around 8 or 9 and up, as long as they can have at least a basic conversation. But I have even more experience with teens and adults.

Can anyone recommend some companies that I should look into?

Thanks in advance.

Damn this forum is dead. I had some decent results through Cambly, but it's very spotty work, to the point where I didn't bother. I just signed up again to see if it'll be any better. Good luck. Smile

Companies that cater to adults:

Cambly - the previous reply that stated that work on the platform is spotty is not true. Work will be relatively consistent if you sign up for 'priority hours'. Most flexible in the industry, but also one of the lowest paying (17 cents a minute). Is also video based although many students opt out and use audio only.

Mentorphone - for South Korean business people or uni students.

Hujiang - 1 on 1 teaching, but must have 10Mbps download and 10mbps download internet speed for the platform they use. They will verify this and if you don't have it, you will be rejected outright. Must work at least 10 hours a week. Penalties for missing class.

iTutor - 1 on four classes. Must wear a red shirt and have a background with 'iTutor' on it. Penalties for missing class or cancelling at the last minute.
