In case anyone's interested, I turned down the job offer. The 25,000 a month would have been taxed in my home country. It was a 10 month contract with a month of leave. Also, there was no syllabus, no materials, and only one other (native speaker) teacher in my department. Add to that the isolation of living on the edge of a university town 40 mins by bus from the nearest tier II city, and unreliable internet....
